Alright then you no good pieces of shit, some of you know that Pugh and the Granv have decided to throw sense out of the window and become pioneers in the Ruta del Sol. Those of you who didn't know this probably aren't worth knowing and should go drink some arsenic or something. So what is the Ruta del Sol? Well, this will come as a surprise to many of you, but there amazingly is another continent outside of Builth Wells called South America. And it's a big fucker too. Like REAL big. Oh, and much crazy. Yeah, the natives have a penchant for guns. And they love nothing more than to stick up lost looking, fat, sunburnt gringos A.K.A. Pugh and Granv.
The Ruta del Sol is a rally in which 8 teams ATTEMPT to drive VW beetles from Quito in Ecuador to Rio in Brazil in 3 weeks. If that's not enough to scare the pants off you then consider who it is that's actually attempting this. Pugh and Granv are team 'Shame On Us'. They only have one driving licence, not a mechanical brain cell between the pair of them, can hardly speak english let alone spanish, and consistently make bad decisions. If anyone shouldn't be taking part in the Ruta del Sol then it's us. But it's OK because we have bought a red 1963 beetle and named it Terry A.K.A. The Painmobile - in honour of our hero Terrible Terry Tate. It's a hep of shit but Terry will lay the pain no doubt. Most of the other teams will have mechanics or mechanical knowledge, but to me that seems like cheating. I mean what is the point of doing this if there is a actually a small chance of making it?
Whether we get raped by drug lords in Colombia or drive off a cliff in Peru, there is only one thing for certain - we will have a shit load of fun doing it!!!
So what can you do? Your role in all of this is going to be leaving abusive comments for those days when we are broken into a blubbering mess. Nothing lifts the spirits like a bit of good old fashioned abuse.
The other thing is to support the charities that we are doing this event for and donate a little of that cash that you earn by sitting on your arses in front of a computer screen. I know, I hate charities too, but don't be a heartless cunt! We need to raise £500.
So that's it. Death by beetle. What a fuckin way to go!!!! |
